As the application deadline for creative writing is this Friday, I'm starting to revise "A Barbed Affair." [link]
It's taking me a while because I'm nervous about the application. I'm confident in my writing, and am sure I'll get in, but actually submitting is scary. You're only allowed to apply twice, and after that, I'm stuck as just a lowly Computer Science - English double major.
That just doesn't have the same pzazz as "Computer science, Creative Writing double major."
So I guess I better get to work, eh? Expect a few new pages of story content, as well as a bit of fleshing out of Kay.
Oh, and karaoke last night was a blast. Let's see if I can remember what I sang...
-'Aint No Mountain' with Jim
-'Bridge Over Troubled Water' with Jim and Rob
-'The Impossible Dream' solo. I love Man of La Mancha
Next week, I'm thinking of singing some Johnny Cash (mainly 'cuz Rob was like, "Wow, your singing voice is low" after I sang The Impossible dream). And Brigid and I are planning to bring back the "Summer Nights" duet where I sing in falsetto. And Kris and I are planning on doing "Monster Mash." Finally, Jim and I are thinking of Kid Rock's "Cowboy." It will be great.

Why don't you join the poetry contest from [link] ?
It's free and every nitwit such as myself who enters gets a small gift
but someone like you might win one of their $10 000 or $100 000 prizes.
